The Municipal Library "Benedetto Craxi" represents a cultural treasure for the community of San Fratello. Named after the grandfather of Bettino Craxi, this library houses a rich collection of historical volumes that document the history and culture of the town over the centuries.

The library's book collection is extremely diverse and valuable. Among its treasures are around 3,000 ancient volumes, including manuscripts, incunabula, 16th-century books, and books from the 17th and 18th centuries. These texts offer a fascinating journey into the past of San Fratello, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the historical and cultural events of the town.

In addition to the ancient collection, the library also holds a modern collection of about 4,000 books, covering a wide range of topics and interests. Notably, there is a section dedicated to Franciscanism, which explores the theological and historical aspects related to the Franciscan Order and its impact on the history of San Fratello.

The library has maintained its original location and preserved its original furnishings, including the fine inlaid wooden shelves dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. These furnishings give the library a suggestive and historical atmosphere, captivating visitors and transporting them to another time.
