"The Olive Harvest" - Mural

The mural created by the artist Andrea Sposari, also known as SposArt, offers a fascinating visual depiction of the olive harvest season, an activity deeply tied to the history and tradition of San Fratello. Even today, this practice is regularly carried out by many members of the community, preserving an important part of the local identity.
The artwork, which adorns the building of Mrs. Raffaella Nardone, significantly enhances the charm and beauty of the historic center of San Fratello. Raffaella Nardone herself, a San Fratello resident by adoption with a deep connection to the place she has considered home for many years, has played a significant role in maintaining and enhancing the charm of the ancient medieval village.

After deciding to move to San Fratello as a retiree in 2009, mainly drawn by the emotional bond with her husband’s hometown, Raffaella passionately dedicated herself to making the historic center more welcoming, beautiful, clean, and colorful. Her dedication to the care and enhancement of the local heritage has helped preserve the essence and beauty of San Fratello, reinforcing its status as a place of great historical and cultural value.
Andrea Sposari's mural, with its vivid and engaging portrayal of the olive harvest, fits perfectly into this context, adding a touch of beauty and vibrancy to the urban fabric of the historic center and contributing to the creation of a welcoming and inviting atmosphere for both residents and visitors.
